First Winter Storm

If you live in the midwest you are probably experiencing a snow storm-our first big storm of the winter. Northern MI got up to 11 inches just over night and it is still blowing and snowing. It is not a good day to be traveling...cuddle up in your home and enjoy the snowy weather from inside. Make a hot cup of tea or hot cocoa, start wrapping your Christmas gifts, or watch a holiday movie. It's a great day to get your oven going and bake Christmas cookies and other sweets for loved ones.
Happy snow day and make the most of it!

PS - Little Luxuries holiday party is tomorrow from 3-6pm - stop by!

Santa's Workshop

After a great weekend with family and friends in my hometown, it is time to start thinking about gifts for loved ones and how to keep it inexpensive. Check out Martha Stewart's Holiday Section. She has nearly 60 different homemade ideas for you. I loved this idea of the photo shown above - Japanese-Motif Soaps. I love soaps, great smelling soaps and with these you can buy your favorite white bar of soap and then add the beautiful decal to it - your guests will be so impressed with you! They make a great gift too! Take a look if you have time, you will be excited about making your gifts this holiday season!

Mexico

I promised I would share photos from our trip to Mexico. So here are a few. The vacation was very relaxing and exactly what we needed after a very busy 10 months. Enjoy -

I spent every day in the pool. It was the best! It was so warm you had to keep cooling off so the pool was perfect. :)
We had a great dinner at a nearby authentic mexican restaurant. It was the perfect dinner to end a great vacation!

Along the beach we came across an outdoor massage place. For only $20 it was a wonderful massage and well worth it!

While taking a walk through town we came across a local jewelry market. I loved it! So many different pieces of jewelry and very inexpensive!

Our second night in Mexico we grilled out on the roof of our condo.

Leaving the harbor to go deep sea fishing.

A local fish market. Men fish through the night and come in first thing in the morning where women help clean and sell the fish.

Walking along the beach. The beach was busier in the mornings because it would get so hot later in the day.

One of the gorgeous sunsets we watched every evening from the top of our condo.
